Active in Democratic Party politics; member of Suffolk County and New York State Democratic Committees; Suffolk County Coroner; member New York State Medical Society. Member of Huntington School Board. Deacon of Second Presbyterian Church.
Passed away on March 8, 1893 at Washington, D. C., where he attended President Grover Cleveland’s inauguration. Interred in Huntington Rural Cemetery.
